Join the Quail City Soccer World Cup Knockout Prediction Pool
The group stage is behind us, and now the fun really begins.
Throughout the opening round of the FIFA World Cup, the Quail City Soccer team has been competing against one another in a private prediction pool. It quickly became one of our favorite ways to follow the tournament, celebrate the surprises, and argue over the matches long after the final whistle.
So for the knockout rounds, we’re opening it up to everyone.
Whether you’re a daily reader of Quail City Soccer, a listener of The Quail Call, or you just love the World Cup, we’d love to have you join us. The more predictions, the better the banter.
Here’s how scoring works:
3 points for correctly picking the winning team.
7 points for predicting the exact final score.
Unlike a traditional bracket challenge, the bracket resets after every round. That means even if you have a rough Round of 32, you’ll still get to make fresh predictions for every remaining round of the tournament. No one gets eliminated, and everyone stays involved all the way through the Final.
A few things to know before you join:
Lock in your predictions before kickoff of each match.
The pool will remain open to join throughout the remainder of the World Cup, so don’t worry if you’re getting started after the first knockout matches.
